A career of service in Acadiana
ODMP lists Jolivette as 35 years old, badge 13854 and a 15-year law-enforcement veteran. Its memorial says he served 11 years with the Lafayette Police Department after serving with the Opelousas Police Department. It also records his work with Lafayette Police's SWAT negotiator team and Explorer program.
The Lafayette Police Department Page of Honor confirms his July 25, 2024 line-of-duty death and describes a career that began with Opelousas Police in 2010. The department says his Lafayette service included patrol, detective work, the SWAT Negotiator Team, Explorer Program, School Resource Officer duties and Honor Guard membership. It also notes that he received multiple commendation letters and other recognition.
