ThinBlueNews remembers Police Officer Dylan Chase Owen of the Citronelle Police Department in Alabama, whose End of Watch was Thursday, May 14, 2026.

According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, Officer Owen was killed in a single-vehicle crash on North Mobile Street near Laird Drive in Citronelle while serving on duty.

ODMP records that the crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. as Officer Owen was driving southbound on North Mobile Street. His patrol vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts, he died at the scene.

WKRG News 5 reported that the Citronelle community was grieving after the crash, identifying Officer Owen as a 26-year-old officer who was on duty in his patrol SUV. FOX10/WALA also reported that police and firefighters responded near Mobile Street and Laird Drive and that the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency was investigating the crash.

ODMP lists Officer Owen as a two-year Citronelle Police Department veteran. The memorial record notes that in 2025 he received the department's Rookie of the Year Award. This remembrance is offered with respect for his family, fellow officers, friends, and the Citronelle community.
