MIAMI, Florida — City of Miami Police marine officers pulled a mother, father and two young children from Biscayne Bay after their boat overturned in rough weather, according to a newly published local report and officer-worn camera package.
WSVN 7News reported Friday that Miami Police received the overturned-boat call at about 5 p.m. July 31. The department’s Marine Patrol Unit found all four family members treading water when officers arrived.
Officers brought the family aboard
The family’s boat had flipped in Biscayne Bay while weather conditions were rough, the station reported. Marine Patrol officers reached the family and pulled all four people aboard the police boat.
