Service at the Progreso Port of Entry

According to CBP’s official memorial for Domingo Jasso III, he began his CBP career on December 18, 2011 and served at the Progreso, Texas Port of Entry. The agency identifies him as a native of Weslaco, Texas.

CBP remembers Jasso as a dedicated employee who took pride in his service to the country and enjoyed his work with the Office of Field Operations. His agency’s memorial records his End of Watch as November 5, 2020.

Music and Honor Guard service

The official memorial also preserves a personal detail: Jasso enjoyed music and was an ardent trumpet enthusiast. In 2015, he joined the Port of Progreso’s Honor Guard and continued serving with it for the remainder of his career.

This remembrance does not infer additional duties or honors from his uniform or portrait. The music and Honor Guard details come directly from CBP’s written memorial.

End of Watch: November 5, 2020

CBP states that the circumstances of Jasso’s passing were reviewed by an executive panel and the CBP Commissioner, who agreed that his death occurred in the line of duty. This article preserves that official classification without adding an unsupported account of the circumstances.

As the sixth anniversary approaches, Thin Blue News offers this remembrance with respect for his family, friends, colleagues and community, and for the service preserved in his agency’s record.
