MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency welcomed 44 new troopers at the graduation of Trooper Class 2026-B on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, at the Montgomery Performing Arts Centre in Montgomery, according to the agency.

ALEA described the graduation in its release dated October 28, 2026. The announcement identifies two training entry dates and assignments across highway, waterway and protective-service work.

Two training entry dates

Training began May 18 for uncertified candidates; previously certified officers joined Aug. 24, ALEA said. The agency described physical, mental and academic preparation for the responsibilities of serving as a trooper.

Where the graduates will serve

ALEA described statewide assignments involving Highway Patrol, Marine Patrol and Protective Services. The agency listed four graduates assigned to its Marine Patrol Division and one to its Protective Services Division.

The release links those assignments to protecting Alabama’s highways, waterways and the Capitol Complex.

Public encounters and respect

Madison County Sheriff Kevin Turner was the keynote speaker, according to ALEA, and emphasized treating people with dignity and respect.

“Treat every person the way that you would want to be treated. And by doing that, you give a little bit of respect, and you’re going to get that respect back,” Turner said, as quoted in ALEA’s release.
